Document Scanners

Document Scanners have a feeder and are best for scanning documents.

Flatbed Scanners

These can be used for documents and photos. Some also may be used to scan negatives and slides.

Mobile Scanners

$89.95  Wand type scanner. Good for documents and photos, but not as accurate as a flatbed type. Portable and battery powered. Stores the images on micro SD card or transfer to computer with USB cable. No computer required for scanning.

Compact Mobile scanner for photos and documents. Battery powered, stores images on SDHC card.  Includes software to stitch images together so it’s good for odd-sized documents.

All-in-Ones

These are printer/scanner/copiers all in one device. They tend to be relatively cheap for the same reasons that inkjet printers are cheap. There are also laser all-in-ones but they tend to be more expensive. They are not easily portable and resolution may not be as good as some of the other scanners, at least not the less expensive models. Still may be good enough.
