3. AnyWho - Basic search for address and phone number is free. Paid searches for detailed public records.
4. Archives.com - Paid search service for family records.
5. Archives.gov - Includes state archives, historical societies, wills, land grants, vital records, Civil War pensions, military records.
6. Bing - Microsoft's free search engine.
7. Chronicling America - Source for digitized newspapers, including obituaries-Library of Congress.

9. Fold3 - Military Records, paid site with a seven day free trial.
10. Geni - Free to upload your family tree. Includes reminders, photos and more. Pay view matches from other family trees.

13. peoplefinders - Paid service to search for people, background checks and more.
14. pipl - Searches web sources. Links to other search engines.
15. Rootsweb.com - Searches multiple databases and creates request for copies of records. Searches are free; record requests include fees.
16. TinEye - Allows you to search by submitting the URL of an image. If the image has been indexed, it will show other similar images. Free.
17. Twitter Search - Allows you to search for tweets or tweeters.
18. Unclaimed Persons - Database of the names of people whose bodies have not been claimed by next of kin.
19. US Search - Similar to peoplefinder. After you locate someone, there is a fee to get more information.
20. Veromi - Search for people. Fee for detailed information.
